At Windows USA, we consider ourselves to be extremely fortunate. For over the past 40 years, we’ve built a business based on a quality product, hard work, and customer service, and we’ve been blessed to continue growing and serving the needs of more and more families around the nation. Although we still face challenges, we’re grateful to our customers for helping us to reach this point, and we certainly don’t want to ignore the trust and patronage of those who have supported us throughout our history.
Now, it’s time for us to thank our customers and friends and pay our good fortune forward. We want to reinvest our success into the hundreds of communities that helped Windows USA become the company that it is today. So, by combining our gratitude with our desire to give back, we’re proud to support a number of nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations that are doing their best to make the world a better and brighter place.
Throughout the years, we’ve been a donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a sponsor for several families each year through the Make-A-Wish Foundation; in fact, last year, we were able to help a child realize their dream to visit Australia’s Great Barrier Reef with their family. We’ve partnered with community organizations that support people with disabilities, and last year, we were able to offer over a dozen scholarships to help young adults pay for the cost of a college education. And when our local sheriff’s department had problems funding itself, we stepped in and helped them cover their expenses.
Warren Buffett, who is a global leader in the worlds of both business and philanthropy, has spoken about the relationship between his business and philanthropic pursuits and how they occasionally mirror each other. At Windows USA, it’s the same story: philanthropy is an integral part of our business. And while philanthropic engagements can help business, we’re dedicated to the idea that we have the power to help improve the quality of people’s lives.
We want to share the work we’re doing in the hopes that it might provide others with advice about the ways they can give back. We plan on using this blog as a forum to highlight the philanthropic causes we support as well as the efforts we’re taking to strengthen our community, nation, and world.
